Beforehand After your consultation and x-rays some preparatory treatment may be required. Then using 3-dimensional CAD-CAM computer planning, Dr Worthington or Dr Sauer will plan the entire procedure in advance and a special guide for the surgery will be prepared. 2. Placing the implants This is usually a procedure of about 1 hour duration, performed under local anaesthesia. Surgery is performed using the pre-formed guide and a keyhole technique, so there are no stitches and little or no post-operative swelling and discomfort. 3. Attaching the bridge This is usually performed about an hour after implant placement. This is a simple procedure with no discomfort. Your teeth are now ready for function! 4.
